Scope of Work: website & social media

JBC founded Shop Local Nola during the COVID crisis in 2020 to support Greater New Orleans locally owned businesses.

The JBC team built a free resource for locally owned businesses in the Greater New Orleans area. In a matter of 30 days, JBC built and launched and all social media assets to support these businesses. This provided businesses with an instantaneous digital asset to communicate with customers and the public.

On the website, businesses can register, login, build out their own profiles with a simple, easy to use interface, update information with special offers, link their social platforms, and review their business page analytics using a personalized dashboard.

JBC worked in partnership with multiple business organizations and chambers to deliver information about the Shop Local Nola resources. Additionally, through these organizations JBC provided a series of training sessions and articles on marketing during Covid.

Today, it is the area’s largest directory for verified, locally owned businesses. Currently, Shop Local Nola continues to utilize these assets to help local businesses promote seasonal deals and encourage shoppers to focus on shopping local year-round. Any sponsorship dollars received from Shop Local Nola are reinvested into the program and utilized to promote local shopping.
